The legal issues are expected to be the biggest hurdle as officials are unsure about prosecution in case of an accident. Besides, an autonomous car may calculate based on logic in case of an imminent collision unlike humans who make decisions based on emotions. Analysts further add that automated taxis are much safer to start off with. You might soon be able to call an Uber and step into the car to find no one inside yet it will drop you at your desired location.

Your dream of owning a driverless car or travelling in one is going to happen very soon, within the next few years. Technology giants like Intel, Apple and Nvidia are making big strides by providing access to the AI robots they have developed. It is a step towards the right direction and implementing them in public transports is more feasible. Industry experts will continue to collect tons of data and real-time statistics before launching these automated cars on the roads.
