According to GamingBolt, the Import/Export DLC that has been released for GTA Online will actually be the last. It seems that Rockstar is now trying to speed up the release date of “Red Dead Redemption 2”.
At the same time, GTA 6 might also benefit from this, as the developer will probably move the mentioned game once the “Red Dead Redemption 2” will hit the stores. According to a leak that has been provided by Yan2295 website, the GTA Online will start slowing down from now on. However, there are very low changes that updates will completely stop for GTA Online once the RDR2 will be released.
We remind you that the GTA 5/GTA Online has been released back in 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, in 2014 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and in 2015 for Windows PC. In other words, the game is quite old already and the gamers are waiting for a sequel. We also remind you that the single player story has not received any updates since the release of the game, which means that the gamers who prefer to play this game in offline mode are quite bored of it already.
Yan2295 website also claims that the team that has originally worked on GTA Online is now divided into four sub-sections. One section of the team is focused on getting the “Red Dead Redemption 2” title released as soon as possible, while another section is working on GTA 6. There is also a section of the team working on another title that has been announced last year, which leaves a small team working on whatever there is to release for the “GTA Online”.
However, none of these rumors has been confirmed by the developer, which means that you should take this news with a bit of salt. However, one thing is true: GTA 6 will be developed in the future, but it is not yet sure when this will happen.
