Samsung will release its Galaxy S8 flagship this spring, which is expected to cost around $750. But if you were hoping for a major Nokia comeback, then you should prepare to welcome the Nokia Edge, which will also run on Android 7.0 Nougat, but it will be bezel-less and will cost around $450-500. Below, we’ll compare these two smartphones based on rumored specs.

Designs and Displays

The Galaxy S8 will continue using the now popular glass and metal design and if rumors will turn out to be true, then the device will measure 140.1 x 72.2 x 7.3 mm. Its weight hasn’t been unveiled yet, but we’re 100 percent sure that Samsung will make the phone dust proof and water resistant. Also, the screen will measure 5.7-inch and it will support a QHD resolution.

The Nokia Edge will have a full metal body and it will come with a edge to edge 5.5-inch display screen also supporting a 2K resolution. Also, it will have a secondary screen on top, which will show notifications and volume control. There are no known details about the dimensions of the device.

Hardware

The Galaxy S8 will pack a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 chipset that will be powered by an octa-core (4×2.45 GHz Kryo & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo) processor, which will be coupled with an Adreno 540 GPU and 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Also, it will be available in two variants of internal memories with capacities of 64GB and 128GB, which will support expansion.

The internal configuration of the Nokia Edge is currently a big mystery, but top sites report that the phone will use an octa core processor.

Cameras and Batteries

The Galaxy S8 will use a primary camera of 12 MP with phase detection autofocus, OIS, dual-LED (dual tone) flash and other standard features and it will have a secondary camera of 8MP, which will capture high quality selfies. The battery capacity isn’t known yet.

The Nokia Edge is expected to feature a powerful primary camera of 23MP with Carl Zeis technology, which will support a high zooming feature, and the front camera will support 8MP, as well. The battery will be large enough, offering a generous capacity of 3600mAh.
