Facebook purchased WhatsApp for $22 billion, and everybody believed Mark Zuckerberg was out of his mind. But, the moment the popular social media website took it over, there were several fabulous changes made. And, since that time, it’s only received even more new features such as the long-awaited, hopefully-anticipated Voice Calling.
What Is Voice Calling?
The WhatsApp Voice Calling feature lets users make and receive voice calls from anywhere in the world from other WhatsApp users. At this time, the feature is only available for Android, Blackberry 10, iOS and Windows Phone software. In other words, Nokia Asha device users are out of luck.
Can WhatsApp Be Used On Nokia Asha Devices?
Yes, you can still use WhatsApp on your Nokia Asha devices that have the Symbian 40 firmware. In fact, the developers released another version for it recently – WhatsApp 2.13.26 – which came with some performance improvement and bug fixes. It didn’t include any new features such as emojis, which are seen on the other platforms.
The great thing about this jar file is that there was no increase in size file; just modifications to more than 830 files.
How To Install WhatsApp 2.13.26 Onto Your Nokia Asha Device
Before you can download the new version, you need to uninstall the present one. Once you do that, go to your phone’s browser and type in whatsapp.com/s40. After you’re routed there, you’ll need to download and install the latest file. Upon installation, type in your cell number to attain the verification code so that you can log into the WhatsApp account you have set up.
