The Galaxy S8 rumors are not something so strange around this time of the year, and it’s normal to be so, especially since the release of the previous Galaxy S model was not such a success. However, one report that surfaced recently stands out in the crowd. The source is one that has often times provided various previews of devices that were not yet released by Samsung.
The famous source is Eldar Murtazin, who is a Russian blogger and an insider when it comes to Samsung affairs. He always gets early access to new products and, to many people’s happiness, he has just offered us an insight into the Galaxy S8 preview. According to the information he leaked, the new model was already presented to some main carrier partners last month, thus preparing the market for its release.
Just as some rumors were saying, the new phone will be available in two versions, with the second option enjoying a much larger screen than any of the previous Galaxy S models. However, the size of the actual device will not increase, compared to the Galaxy S7, but what will be changed is the screen-to-front ratio.
According to Murtazin, the new design impressed the carrier partners who saw it. It seems that the phone will see its release on the market towards the end of April 2017 and that the company will launch a limited supply in the beginning.
There will be two versions of the phone, a 5.7-inches one and a 6.2 inches one, both having AMOLED screen. The battery will be similar to what the Galaxy S7 sports and the upcoming device will have a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB-C port, together with an iris scanner placed on the front of the device, in a way similar to the Galaxy Note 7 device.
