It was more than a year since the release of Black Ops 3 and as early as mid-2016, there have already been speculations on the next installment of the Call of Duty game series. This does not come as a surprise since the game was given a warm welcome when it was released initially.

Fans have been expecting the yearly release of Call of Duty games since the successful release of the game. This was despite what Activision suggested that they will pull out their support for the popular game a year after it was released to the gaming community.

This was just a thing of the past since Black Ops 3 was released and no less than Tryarch Studio talked about their plans on the game. Dan Bunting, Head of Treyarch, said that support will be extended for 2017.

While people are waiting for the details on the content of the 2017, they are also hopeful on knowing about the release of Black Ops 4. And with what Bunting has said, players are to expect to have another year of fun.

Based on the frequency of release, CoD fans should expect playing a new installment in 2018. It can be recalled that the first part of Black Ops was in 2010 while the 2nd was in 2012, with the third installment delivered in 2015.

The question that remains is the list of features that will come with Black Ops 4. Knowing how developers play, this part of the series will be much better than the previous ones. While this does not happen all the time, with some gamers getting disappointed with new releases, this one is said to be promising.

Zombies are very much a part of the game with the story taking place in different eras, during the 1960s and the latter part of World War II. It is about four soldiers from different nations such as the United States and Japan. Moreover, the map included historical and significant figures, including the late president, John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon and Fidel Castro.

Other rumored features also include retaining the single and multi-player modes with the plot being in the future, far from the present day. The previous version was already set in 2065. Also, others are speculating that customization settings will also be available.

On top of these, there will be an array of customization options. Aside from being able to change the gender, the social settings will also be customizable. This means that players can mingle and interact with other players while on missions.

As far as the story is concerned, nothing definite is on yet. Albeit, there is a speculated guess that this will be good enough to be made into a movie just like Resident Evil and World War Z.  For the system requirements, however, these include, 16GB RAM, Intel Core i7 4790 @ 3.8GHZ, GeForce GTX 980 Ti 6GB or Radeon R9 FURY X 4GB and 65 GB, among others.

For now, the gaming community has to be satisfied with Black Ops 4 rumors and release updates.
