Apple users that use the company’s iPhone device might be familiar with the ongoing drama caused by the iOS 10 Jailbreak, or better said the lack of such a tool. Apple’s iOS 10 was released months ago and many people were expecting a Jailbreak solution then. Time went on and nothing surfaced regarding the issue. The release of iOS 10.2 marked the forfeit of Pangu, as the known jailbreakers dropped out of the race to find a solution.
That solution came soon after from Luca Todesco, a known figure in the iOS Jailbreak forums. He eventually released a Jailbreak tool, but for iOS 10 and 10.1.1. This well received although the problems this tool had on top of not supporting iOS 10.2 made people forget quickly about the joy of actually getting a jailbreaking tool.
With people still waiting for a more viable solution that doesn’t need users to re-apply the jailbreak each time they boot their phones, Luca Todesco recently took to Twitter that he is planning on releasing a Jailbreak solution that will support iOS 10.2. What’s the catch? Unfortunately, the tweet mentioned the fact that this new solution will support 10.2 but won’t be available as a working solution for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices.
This of course, wasn’t well received by expecting fans which voiced their complains on various forums and comment sections of websites. For people using the aforementioned versions of Apple’s iPhone will still be restricted on using iOS 10 and 10.1 if they want to use the already provided Jailbreak solution. The solution in question goes by the name of Yalu at the moment, and promises more updates that might stabilize it and rise its viability rate. In the state that it’s in right now, it’s just a cheap, temporary solution for a bigger problem.
