A few renders surfaced online last month regarding the Moto X (2017). The leaks included some hands-on images as well as some renders despite the fact that a report suggested that the respective device was in fact Moto C. They were all wrong as we know the device is the new Moto G5 Plus which will be launched as a follow-up to Moto’s G4 Plus.
A person from Romania is selling the prototype and did us a favor of listing a full set of pictures which included its specifications as well as an expected date when the device will hit the shelves. Rumor has it that the device is to arrive in March, as it will be launched at the MWC in Barcelona.
According to the list of specifications, the Moto G5 Plus comes equipped with a 5.5 inch Full HD screen powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 processor. The chip is paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage.
Camera wise, the device will sport a 13 megapixel back sensor helped by a dual-LED flash paired with a 5 megapixel front facing camera. The whole device will be powered by a 3,080mAh battery which will give you a day or two of usability.
Regarding the design sector, the device appears to be built out of metal sporting Moto’s unique circle around its camera, feature specific to their Z lineup of devices. The device comes with micro-USB and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. It even has a fingerprint sensor below the display. The smartphone is expected to be aimed at mid-range markets, bearing a price tag of roughly $390.
