The Finnish company HMD Global was put together to reinstate Nokia back to their old selves as the deal they struck with Microsoft didn’t pay off in regard of their Lumnia lineup. However, the guys from HMD are working around the clock and have come up with a new device entitled Nokia 6. It is aimed for the Chinese market and we’ve gathered some important specs and features to share with you.
Nokia 6 is a thing of beauty as stated by Arto Nummela, the CEO of HMD Global. It has undergone a huge transformation process over the time it was being developed as it is a result of them listening to their customer’s opinions on how a phone should look like. Furthermore, he added that the case of Nokia 6 goes through a 10 hour long process resulting in an aluminum body which has great structural and visual quality.
The device is aimed for the mid-range market as it comes with a 5.5 inch screen which sports a quality of 1080p and it also has protection from the likes of 2.5D Gorilla Glass. It comes equipped with a 16 megapixel back snapper paired with a 8 megapixel front facing camera.
Nokia 6 has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 and X6 LTE modem which is specifically designed to improve battery life and graphics. The phone runs Android and is the first of its kind to do so under HMD Global.
Price and Availability
The smartphone is set to have a price tag of $245 and will be made available for Chinese customers in the first quarter of this year offered by JD.com. After Microsoft’s complete failure with their Nokia Lumnia series, HMD Global is sure to take over the market and make the Nokia brand as famous as it was before.
