If you are an old gamer, then the NES Classic Edition is surely the console that you’ve been expecting for quite a while. This console has been released back in November 2016 and it was developed especially to bring back the classic games from the 80’s.

The downside of this console is that there are only 30 games that come pre-loaded on the system. We have to agree that 30 games for a console is a relative low number, but don’t worry, because a Russian hacker has found a way to “expand” that number.

Reports say that the hacker has successfully managed to add 30 more video games to the NES Classic Edition’s stock library. After modding the console, he actually sold it on eBay and he will most likely continue to do this for profit. It seems that the modding process is not that easy and this is the reason why the fans of old games will prefer to just purchase the hacked console and be able to access 60 games.

NES Classic Edition: 30 Extra Games List

It seems that the 30 extra games will appear in the user interface like the regular pre-loaded games. Each game will come with its box art and it will also blend perfectly with the whole theme of the console. Here are the 30 extra games that you get on the modded NES Classic Edition:

  • Batman: The Video Game
  • Batman Returns
  • Battletoads
  • Bionic Commando
  • Blades of Steel
  • Blaster Master
  • Bucky O’Hare
  • Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers
  • Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2
  • Darkwing Duck
  • Dragon Warrior
  • Dragon Warrior IV
  • Duck Tales

  • Little Nemo – The Dream Master

NES Classic Edition: Availability

Unfortunately, this console is not that easy to find, as even after a few months after its release there are not many places where you can purchase it from. At the same time, we don’t know if Nintendo will even produce more of these consoles, as most gamers nowadays are looking for high-end consoles such as Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
