Belonging to the Moto Z series of midrange phones, the Moto Z Play is a highly interesting budget phone which is specifically tailored for those who wish to have a device with a brilliant design and good performances. We are going to compare its capabilities to the OnePlus 3T which has the same looks but slightly better specs.

Moto Z Play

Coming out as the cheapest Z series device, it sports a Full HD Super AMOLED screen and a 16mp rear snapper. It also supports the addition of Moto Mods. Its 5.5 inch Super AMOLED comes at a 1920 x 1080 resolution and 403PPI. It is powered by Snapdragon’s 625 octa-core which clocks at 2GHz and an Adreno 506 GPU for its graphics, paired with 3GB of DDR4 RAM and 32B expandable internal storage.

Camera wise, it uses a 16MP sensor with dual tone flash and PDAF. The selfie snapper packs 5MP which includes its own LED flash which enables better photos in low lighting conditions and video calls. The whole device is powered by a huge 3510mAh battery.

OnePlus 3T

The OnePlus 3T is a slight upgrade from the previous OnePlus 3 and it features a 5.5 inch Full HD Optic AMOLED display with the same resolution and PPI as the Moto Z Play. It is powered by a new Snapdragon 821 octa core and an Adreno 530 GPU. It is also powered by 6GB DDR4 RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Its camera is something of beauty as it packs some sapphire covered lens with PDAF, LED Flash and OIS. Both of its cameras sport a whopping 16MP for astonishing snaps and video chatting. The whole device is powered by 3400mAh battery which supports Dash Charge.

No matter which device you prefer we can assure that they are both great ones to choose from and if they continue following this trend, 2017 should be a promising one for both manufacturers.
