Being one of the most interesting models of 2016 by having a modular design which consisted in a removable battery which could be replaced with accessories, the LG G5 didn’t quite enjoy a large number of sales as it was its hype.
Some leaks of its successor, namely LG G6 clearly showed the device’s back which showed tech enthusiasts that it will still sport its dual snapper configurations and a fingerprint scanner. It’s basically the same model as the G5 in terms of design, the only difference being that it sports a 5.3-inch quad-HD screen which is borderline flat unlike its slightly bent counterpart.
The pictures also show the fact that it will not keep its modular design and will follow a more traditional and common type of build. If you do own accessories for the G5 please do bear in mind that these might not fit on the new device. It may come as a slight nuisance for some but for others it’s a total relief.
Its other features include a 3.5mm headphone Jack which is something that might not be used anymore the following years and it will come packed in a glossy and matte finish. It also shows the fact that it sports USB Type-C connectivity at the bottom edge and it is also accompanied by a microphone and a bottom speaker.
Its material still remains uncertain but we might assume that it will be a full metallic device, most likely aluminum. The device is expected to hit somewhere in February 2017 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Until then, no further specifications were added and we are currently waiting for LG to blow our minds with something new and exciting.
