A lot of people all over the world are using WhatsApp Messenger due to its stunning features not found on most instant messaging app. Basically, this free messaging app is available for Windows, Android, iOS, and Blackberry Phones, not to mention Nokia devices.

This messaging app provides access through your phone’s Internet connection, be it 4G, 3G, 2G, EDGE or Wi-Fi. This will allow you to message your family and friends, with more features in comparison to the native SMS service from your mobile device.

Downloading WhatsApp can be easier if you use the local app store of your device. For instance, you can use the App Store for iOS devices, Play Store for Android devices and Microsoft Store for Windows devices. However, in order to download the latest version of the app, you sometimes seek other options, such as downloading from third party websites.

If you want to download the latest version so that you can get ahead of your friends, then you must seek a website that can be trusted. After you have downloaded the file for that particular version, you must be able to install it on your mobile phone.

Simply make sure that your device can install third-party files. Just go to Settings > Security > Unknown Sources, then tap the small box at the right side of this option to check and enable running files from unknown sources. Then, you need to tap on the install button of the APK file. Permissions will be asked while installing third-party apps. Just accept the conditions and tap Next on the confirmation box.

Downloading and installing files other than the stores provided by the phone’s OS will require you to enable the option to run files from unknown sources.

Make sure that you disable it after installing the WhatsApp file you have just downloaded and installed. This will ensure that no other files can automatically be installed without permission from you to avoid any problems in the future.
