Bandai Namco Entertainment’s Tekken 7 is rumored to feature four new characters that will be made available via DLC. Kuma and Panda are rumored to be made available for play and it will most likely issue a statement regarding its game which is programmed to launch in 2017.
Katsuhiro Harada leaked Lei Wulong as the first DLC fighter as he answered a tweet from a fan asking the same thing. He stated that this is regarded as a possibility and later on explained the low usage of this character.
Other fighters including Anna Williams, Zafina, Julia Chang and Roger Jr are also standing a chance of being included in Tekken 7. This fact puts Bandai Namco in the corner as they are faced with the tough decision of adding more characters which do not resemble humans into the game despite the fact that they still have the Tekken feeling attached to them.
Along with these rumors, Bandai Namco has stated that they will kill Tekken Revolution for PlayStation 3 on March 21st 2017. The decision comes after releasing Tekken 7 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms between the first and second quarter of 2017. The team is to switch their full attention to their new game thus cancelling its support for previous releases
This comes along as great news however as it will make Tekken 7 even more interesting considering the addition of an Online Tournament feature which will be available only for consoles. It will allow Tekken enthusiasts to duel against eight other players from around the world. They also have access to an in-game chat feature which allows them to communicate with other players whilst being in spectator mode.
