Coming out as an improved OnePlus 3, the OnePlus 3T comes straight out of the factory as a highly sought after device sporting a much lower price tag than its direct rival, the iPhone 7 Plus.

The OnePlus 3T comes with a uni-body aluminum frame. Measuring 152.7 x 74.7 x 7.35mm and weighing 158g it is almost unrivaled in the market in terms of price versus design comparison. It has a fingerprint sensor built beneath its screen with incredibly slim bezels. It also sports an USB Type-C connection and a 3.5mm audio jack.

As far as the iPhone 7 Plus is concerned, it measures 158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3mm, making it a tad too hard for one-handed use. Unlike its competitor it is resistant to water and dust. It doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack and it doesn’t feature an USB-Type C connection but to make up for that it comes equipped with fast charging.

Display wise they both feature 5.5 inch screens with 1080p resolution. A noticeable difference is the OnePlus 3T’s AMOLED screen versus the iPhone 7 Plus’ LCD IPS technology which is not as vibrant as the 3T’s who packs a punch in terms of contrast.

Sporting a 12MP dual camera system the iPhone 7 comes with OIS and 4k video recording and quad LED true tone flash. It is more capable than the 3T’s camera being able to shoot its photos quicker. In regard with iPhone’s snapper the OnePlus comes with a 16MP sensor with electronic and optical image stabilization.

As for the front cameras go, the OnePlus 3T has the advantage by a long margin sporting a 16MP sensor in contrast to the iPhone’s 7 megapixel system.

Concerning hardware the OnePlus 3T blows away the iPhone. Sporting a Snapdragon 821 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and a 3,400mAh battery it will run anything you throw at it. It even comes equipped with a Dash Charge adapter that charges the battery in half an hour.

The Apple’s flagship comes equipped with its homegrown A10 Fusion chip sporting a quad core processor and 3GB of RAM. Its battery clocks at 2.900mAh not charging as fast as the one on the OnePlus 3T does.

Regarding storage space 3Ts are being sold in 64GB and 128GB versions in regard to Apple’s three option choice of 32, 128 and 264GB.

Similar to the previous OnePlus 3 the T version runs on Android Marshmallow tweaked by OxygenOS which changes icon’s shape and size and the option to secure some apps via fingerprint locking.

Apple’s flagship runs on the latest iOS 10 complete with all the updates necessary that provides users with an enjoying experience.

The biggest difference between the two manufacturers is the price tag. The basic versions of the flagship devices start at 399 Pounds for the OnePlus 3T respectively 719 Pounds for the iPhone 7Plus.

Being smaller and easier for one handed use, sporting a better camera and charging way faster the OnePlus 3T looks better on paper than the iPhone7 Plus it might look like the better choice. However, the iPhone is faster and has better software support.

Both devices are great and have flagship status but in truth, the price tag cannot be neglected as the OnePlus 3T is half the price of its direct competitor.
