Leaks regarding the all new Nokia Z2 Plus were lately seen on the popular Geekbench platform. The likes of Nokia C1 and D1C were seen before but this is the first hands-on preview of the all new Nokia flagship device, and to all extent it came as a pleasant surprise.
Nokia seems like to be keeping up with the Joneses as a rather high-spec device made its debut into the smartphone market on Geekbench. The test included single-core and multi-core benchmark results that showcase it’s powered by Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad chip.
The processor is not the only high-end piece of kit installed in Nokia’s device but as the pictures show, it also sports 4GB of RAM and it has Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow as its OS. Its multi core managed to come to an impressive 5,217 points while a single one clocked at a maximum of 2,156. One core is said to be clocked at exactly 1,77Ghz.
Being bought by HMD Global, they now have full rights to be producing phones under the Nokia brand and it will most likely come to light at the next Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January 2017. No word from HMD though as they are keeping this device a valued secret.
Rumor has it that Nokia is to develop two premium devices in no time at all despite the fact that HMD Global only announced entry-level devices.
They might come in 5.5-inch and 5.2-inch variants sporting 6GB and 4GB of RAM, both sporting some high performance snappers. This only comes as rumors though as no further information is being provided, so stay tuned for news regarding Nokia’s future plans.
