Console players should be happy to hear that Mojang has partnered with Bethesda and created the Fallout based DLC for Minecraft. The game will now be filled with skins and items from the post apocalyptic world of Fallout, 44 skins to be more exact and they are based on popular Fallout characters such as Paladin Cross, Nick Valentine and Tinker Tom.
The major DLC is being rolled out only to PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms.
What’s even cooler than the Fallout skins is the fact that Minecraft’s user interface has been changed to resemble the look of a Pip Boy device and that the DLC also includes the same soundtrack used in the Fallout series. The game truly has a Fallout feel especially since the developers included new models for NPCs and mobs, for example cows have now two heads instead of one and the fields are filled with mutants and madmen.
Mojang will roll out the DLC alongside the major Christmas update that will include amazing items such as Elytra, which is a glider that allows Minecraft players to fly all around the world.
Another great feature included in the Christmas update is the Amplified Terrain option that gives players the ability to amplify the depth between valleys and mountains so that they can glide for longer times while using Elytra.
It’s great seeing that Mojang is finally putting the console edition of Minecraft up to par with the PC one especially since console players started feeling left out. Nonetheless, it’s safe to say that this is the greatest Christmas gift Minecraft fans could receive.
