Android OS comes with many features, options and pre-installed applications, but you should know that one of the most important applications that come with it is the Google Play Store.

Google Play Store is the official Android store and it seems that a new version for it has just been released. First of all, you should know that the latest Google Play Store version is 7.4.02-all and it comes with bug fixes and app stability.

We should mention that likewise any other application, it is very important to keep it updated in order to make sure that it runs smoothly. Let’s not forget that without the Google Play Store, you would have to manually download the APK (installation) files of your favorite applications and games and install them on your mobile handset.

All applications, tools and games that are uploaded to the Google Play Store are verified, which means that there are very low chances to infect your smartphone or tablet. On the other hand, when you download an APK (installation) file from a website, you could get a malware which can mess up your mobile handset and even allow hackers to gain access to your personal information.

This is the reason why we suggest you to download the Google Play Store 7.4.02-all from a trusted website. Once you have the APK file downloaded to your Android device, enable the “Unknown Sources” option from Settings->Security and run the APK file to start the installation process.

Keep in mind that you can also wait for the automatic update to kick in, but this might take a few days, as some users might receive the OTA today while others might get it next week.

Are you installing applications and games via Google Play Store or do you prefer to manually download the APK file from the internet and install it using the old fashion way?
