Those who opt to use PCs for gaming are in for quite the treat as they can finally experience what their console brothers are doing for a while by having access to a sneak peak of a new Resident Evil, namely The Resident Evil 7: Beginning Hour. It is available for download on Steam.

PlayStation 4 owners had a long time to tinker with the demo as it was available for them since June, at the same time when the game was first announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expo.

The Resident Evil 7: Beginning Hour was also made available for Xbox One users as of this month. It seems that PC users picked the short straw by being the last platform where the game will be available for download.

Resident Evil 7: Beginning Hour received three updates so far, two in September and one this Month and meant a lot of areas and some highly sought after secrets which encouraged to check the demo multiple times before acquiring the full version upon its release. At least the guys from Capcom like to keep things interesting for their fans.

The gameplay revolves around a guy named Ethan who is controlled from a first-person perspective. You can use a variety of deadly weapons as in previous games of the Resident Evil franchise. The game is set somewhere in 2017, 4 years the events which happened in Resident Evil 6’s city of Dulvey, Louisiana.

The full version of the game is set to hit the shelves on all platforms on January the 24th across North America and Europe and January the 26th in Japan.

It will also be available in virtual reality format via exclusive PlayStation VR.
