Sharing is caring!

It seems that the developers of WhatsApp are working very hard on this application. According to the latest reports, the latest WhatsApp update version that has been released for iOS is allowing you to revoke messages that you’ve sent.

This is great, especially if you sent a message to the wrong person or if you’re written a rage message to a very good friend. The latest WhatsApp version comes with this new feature and it will surely help a good amount of users.

IBTimes claims that it is quite simple to revoke the messages that you’ve sent via the latest WhatsApp version application. All you will have to do is long press on the message that you’ve sent and you will see a new option that’s called “revoke”. Tap “revoke” option and the message that you’ve sent to that person will be deleted. If you are lucky enough and that the person didn’t read the message, then you can relax and re-write him/her a better message.

Keep in mind that the WhatsApp for iOS is currently in BETA phase, which means that if you are not inside the BETA program, you will NOT be able to access the new version of the application. However, this option will most likely be released for the public sometime in the near future.

As expected, there are some restrictions when it comes to revoking messages on this WhatsApp version. First of all, there is a time limit when you can revoke messages, which means that you will not be able to revoke an old message that has been sent a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately, the developers have not mentioned exactly a time frame when you can revoke a message, but we are guessing that it will be somewhere between 12 to 24 hours maximum.

Have you ever sent a message to someone that you wish you could delete? Tell us your thoughts about the new “revoke” feature that has been released for WhatsApp BETA for iOS!
