There is constant movement in the world of mobile devices, with each important manufacturer carefully preparing its next device for a new season of smartphone releases. There are only a couple of weeks before we cross into 2017, and new smartphones are emerging with rumors and talks flying all over the place, hyping up the community for the newest and hottest gadgets.

Let’s take a look at two devices which are expected to land in 2017, pertaining to two of the biggest tech companies around. The devices in question are the Samsung Galaxy A7 and the Xperia XA from Sony.

In terms of display size, the Samsung smartphone takes the cake with its bigger 5.7 inch screen. The Xperia XA features a smaller 5 inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 720.

The Galaxy A7 has a resolution of 1920 x 1080, once again leaving Sony’s handset behind. Despite having the far larger screen, the Galaxy A7 is larger, although not by a whole lot.

Inside specs

Let’s get down to business and take a look at what the two handsets offer in terms of internal specs. Sony’s creation comes with a rather underwhelming 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage capacity.

Samsung offers a larger internal storage pool of up to 64 GB, but that’s about it. While no spec info has been yet disclosed regarding the Xperia XA battery, we can count on a 3600 mAH unit being featured within Galaxy A7. Also, there are talks about a 16 MP camera to take its place on the rear of the A7.

We are still a bit off from 2017, so specs are still scarce. However, come 2017, we can expect an abundance of information being tossed around, referring to what the newest devices will feature.
