Despite all being a great choice for future users to enjoy, the release of Samsung’s Galaxy J7 Prime, Asus Zenfone 3 and Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3 caused a lot of debate between tech specialist on what phone is the best in terms of performance, design and features.


The trio has basically the same display specifications as all of them sport a 5.5-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution.


In terms of performance the Galaxy J7 Prime has the best specs being power by a 1.6Ghz Exynos 7870 processor being followed up by Asus’ Zenfone 3 Qualcomm Snapdragon that has a 1.4Ghz octa core and last but definitely not least Xiaomi Note 3’s 1.8 hexacore Snapdragon 650.


On paper the Zenfone has the best camera specs as it sports a 13 MP rear camera with a tri-LED flash, deep trench isolation and four-point optical image stabilization. Its front camera has 8MP. Its follow-up is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 with a rear snapper that measures 16MP paired with a 5MP front, having dual-LED flash. The Galaxy J7 Prime however sports a 13MP back with a single LED flash and a 8MP frontal camera.


As software is concerned, the Zenfone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with some slight modifications via ZenUI and TouchWizUI. Samsung has a clear android 6.0 operating system while the Xiaomi runs on Android 5.1.1 tweaked by MIUI 8.

Storage Space

Regarding storage, Asus’ Zenfone blows away its competition with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with the option of expanding it to a whopping 2TB. The Galaxy J7 Prime is available with 3GB RAM and two internal storage options 16GB and 32GB. Last but not least the Redmi Note 3 comes with to variants, namely a 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM


The biggest battery is to be found on Xiaomi’s device with 4050mAh followed up by the J7 Prime’s 3300mAh unit and lastly the Asus Zenfone with 3000mAh.

The phones are extremely similar to one another and the only noticeable difference that sets them apart is the price which will only be a matter of concern.
