Since WhatsApp Messenger got 1 billion downloads in February of this year, several updates have been released by WhatsApp, Inc. For those who already have this popular messaging app on their devices and have been using the app for some time, they know that updating to the latest version is imperative. Not that the old version will not run anymore but for the reason that the new features can be enjoyed and used.
WhatsApp can run on different platforms, such as, Mac, PC, Android, iPhone, Windows Phone, Nokia and Blackberry. However, the versions on these platforms as well as some features vary among them. For Android, the latest WhatsApp version is 2.16.382. The system requirements to downloading from your Windows phone include Windows 10 Mobile or Windows Phone 8.1. You also need to have enough free space to download 30.53MB. You can go the WhatsApp website and choose Windows Phone on the left side of the screen. You will then be brought to the Microsoft website and you just have to click “Get the app”.
With the latest Whatsapp update, several features can now be enjoyed by users. Aside from being able to send emojis, video calls can already be done. Also, animated GIFs can now be sent and received. As for the videos received, they can now be played right away without having to wait for them to download.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp rival WeChat for Android also offers free video and voice call features.
