Niantic has made an official announcement, saying that “The Pokémon Company International and Niantic, Inc. will reveal details on December 12 about the first addition of more Pokémon to Pokémon GO, one of the most popular mobile games of the year. Stay tuned, Trainers!”
It is good to know that the release of the 100 Gen 2 Pokémon has not been officially confirmed by Niantic, but the sound files found in a recent update are suggesting that this will truly happen.
