Super Mario Run, a new game under Super Mario Bros is expected to hit iPhones and iPads somewhere around the middle of December.
The Nintendo game was announced at the Apple WWDC in June 2016 and sits as one of the most hyped after games that will come out this year.
Mario, Luigi, Yoshi and Toad are controlled by the player as they steer automatically from left to right. In order to make the character jump, you will have to tap the screen. As a rule of thumb, if you touch the screen for a longer time, the controlled character will jump even higher.
The goal of this game is to steer the character, evading obstacles and traps in order to collect coins, thus bringing the character back to safety to the end of the level in as quick as they can.
In order to complete the game, players will have to go through three main segments: A World Tour Mode, Toad Rally challenge and Kingdom Builder.
New players are placed directly in the World Tour mode and as they bank on their gold coins and rally tickets they could use them for advancing in the following stages. You’ll have to determine a level and which opponent you’d like to face. By successfully defeating an opponent, you are given a number of Toads. These Toads are needed to unlock some items in Kingdom Builder.
If that sounds boring to you, players are given the opportunity to wonder off to alternative routes. Another great feature is a bubble button which allows the player to float backwards a limited amount of time.
Super Mario Run will be free of charge from the Apple App store during the launch but players are only going to get a demo version for this. If you want to unlock the full game, you’ll have to pay $9.99.
The release of Super Mario Run on iOs is scheduled for December the 15th while an Android version is set to arrive somewhere around 2017.
