According to a new development, avid Android smartphone users will have the chance to own the upgraded Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) phablet before the year ends. It is believed that this model will be one of the two new devices the Korean company will be releasing to the public this holiday season.
Samsung has been head-to-head with Apple as the best provider of smartphones worldwide, for the past years and had recently claimed the spot a few months ago. With the release of the mid-range Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime this year and this timely news that the tech giant is re-introducing its A-series before 2017, fans are all excited.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) was already seen in some benchmark websites and recently, the image of the A7 was leaked in an invitation in Iran. Shortly following the leak, there have been speculations on the specifications and improvements on the A7 flagship.
While it has been reported that it looks similar to the Galaxy S7, this new model is larger by two inches, has a slightly different Home button shape and was given the IP68 certification, the first model to have this feature among the A-series models.
If calculations are correct, Samsung will be launching this device one year after the release of the Galaxy A7 (2016), albeit there is no definite release date yet and the exact cost of this smartphone has not yet made known. That said, there is no way of telling if the price tag will be higher or lower than the previous model. But with Samsung going out of its way to offer mid-range phones, fans will, most likely, expect one is easy on the budget.
Based on the image, it will not be easy to see if this model has a side speaker but still, the public is excited to know what new features to expect. And with no changes in the physical design, improvements should definitely be found inside.
Specifications and Features
There are rumors that the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) will be sporting a larger screen, a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p resolution. And while it is not yet confirmed if the display will be covered with Corning Goriila Glass, its apparent dust-resistant feature ensures this model will come with one.
For the processor, fans can expect an Exynos 7880 chipset with a speed not lower than 1.2Ghz. Moreover, internal memory will either be 32GB or 64GB with 3GB RAM while there will also be a microSD card slot for expandable memory. There are also talks that the latest Galaxy A7 will be sporting a fingerprint scanner and Type-C USB ports to accommodate external storage devices.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) will also be Selfie Pro-friendly with its front and rear cameras with 16MP, something that is a big possibility. As for the battery, it will be a 3,600 mAh lithium-ion battery pack which is expected to give this model some bulkiness.
So far, these are the possible features Samsung fans can expect from the Galaxy A7 (2017). For now, everyone just have to wait for the big surprise and hopefully, this surprise comes soon.
