We’re already in December 2016 and it seems that the owners of the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus can’t use the features and options that the Android 7.0 Nougat OS comes with. For some reason, this update has not yet been released for the two mentioned devices.
We remind you that Lenovo has promised that the two handsets will receive the Android 7.0 Nougat during the Q4 2016, but we’re getting quite close to the end of the year and there is no update for the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus.
According to GameNGuide, the Moto Z and Moto Z Force Edition have already been reportedly starting to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update. In other words, there are still high chances that the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus will receive the update before the end of the year.
Mobipicker has revealed that Lenovo will most likely come with a scheduled update sometime soon for the Moto G4 Play, Moto X Play, Moto X Force, Droid Turbo 2, Droid Maxx 2, Moto Z Play Droid, Moto Z Play, Nexus 6 and Moto X Style. Unfortunately, until now, this scheduled update has not been announced by the company, but this will most likely happen before the end of December 2016.
At the same time, the Android 7.1 Nougat Update has started rolling for some devices. According to AndroGuider website, the update has a bit over 240MB in size and it comes with bug fixes, stability and it also contains the December security patch.
Now that the Android 7.1 Nougat Update has made its way to some devices, the owners of the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are now hoping that the Android 7.0 Nougat will finally be released for their handsets too.
