WhatsApp is a very popular mobile messaging application and that is confirmed by over 1 billion monthly active users. Today we will talk about the latest WhatsApp BETA version that has been released for Nokia Symbian S60 and Nokia Belle devices.

The latest WhatsApp BETA version for the mentioned devices is 2.16.57 and it was just released. It is good to know that the new version of the application doesn’t come with any new features and options, but it fixes some issues and bugs that were found in the previous versions.

We remind you that end-to-end encryption is currently available on the WhatsApp application for Nokia Symbian S60 and Nokia Belle. Unfortunately, the WhatsApp Video Calling feature has been released only for smartphones that run on Android, iOS and Windows Phone. In other words, neither Nokia Symbian S60 nor Nokia Belle will receive the Video Calling feature.

The WhatsApp 2.16.57 has 5.7MB and it can be downloaded from the official WhatsApp website. Once the .sis file will finish downloading to your smartphone, you will just need to run it by heading to the location where you’ve saved it.

It is good to know that WhatsApp Symbian S60 and Nokia Belle will still be supported after December 31, 2016. This has been officially confirmed by WhatsApp, but the company claims that the application will stop functioning on the devices that run on the mentioned operating systems starting from June 30, 2017.

So, if after June 30, 2017 you will still want to use the WhatsApp application, you will need to purchase a device that will still be supported by the application. We suggest you to purchase a device that runs on Android OS, iOS or Windows Phone/Windows 10 Mobile OS.
