The Sony Xperia X Performance is reportedly receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update over-the-air, being the first in Sony’s Xperia lineup of smartphones to get the latest firmware. The update is also rolling out to its Dual SIM variant, in some parts of the world.

According to the unofficial Xperia Blog, the Xperia X Performance is getting the firmware number 39.2.A.0.327 of Nougat, but it’s not sure in which regions of the world this update is rolling out.

This comes after LG has held a beta for testers who installed Nougat with the build number of 39.2.A.0.248. The first Nougat beta release was tested for a while and users have reported all bugs they found to the developers.

The two model numbers that the update is rolling out to are: F8131 and F8132, and they include the unlocked versions (US and international) of the Xperia X Performance. Users who haven’t received the update yet should manually check for it by going to their device’s Settings > About Device > ‘Software Updates.

The next Sony devices that will receive the Nougat update in the near future are: Xperia X Compact, Z5, Z3+, Z4 Tablet, XA and XA Ultra. Not all of them will be updated by the end of 2016, but an official release date of Nougat for them hasn’t been specified yet. Currently, Android 7.0 Nougat OTA update is rolling out to LG G5 on T-Mobile and the unlocked HTC 10, while the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge have received the first beta version of Nougat a few weeks ago.

The Xperia X Performance is a mid-tier smartphone with a 5-inch IPS LCD display that supports a Full HD resolution. It dust and water resistant and uses a powerful Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor that’s backed by 3GB of RAM. Also, its internal memory is available in two variants of 32GB and 64GB, but the phone offers a card slot for expansion up to 256GB.

On the back is found a primary camera of 23MP with phase detection autofocus and LED flash, while the secondary camera supports a capacity of 13MP. Under the brushed metal panel is located the 2700mAh battery.
