The much anticipated release of the latest Minecraft: Console Edition update will be on December. According to sources, Microsoft and Mojang are planning to unleash Elytra, a glider that could throw players into the air. Likewise, major consoles such as Nintendo Wii U, PS4, PS3, and Xbox One would support End Cities, Amplified Terrain, and Dragon’s Breath, a potion ingredient.
This was the biggest update since the Minecraft franchise was purchased by Microsoft. Thus, players may expect better user interface, items, new locks, mobs, and status effect. Aside from the facelift that will be given to End Cities, it will also have tons of new features.
A sneak peek of the Minecraft: Console Edition was provided by Mojang. But, there are much to be seen in the actual Holiday update pack. Updates for the Minecraft: Console Edition will be given free for those who already owned the copy of the original Minecraft: Console Edition.
The good thing about this update is that it is free, which players can enjoy without spending a penny. Windows 10 and Pocket edition Minecraft players have already received updates similar to the Java version.
So, those who have the Minecraft: Console Edition can ask existing players if they indeed received the update free of charge.
A number of notable additions were included in the update, such as the following:
- New Blocks – Beetroot, Bone Block, Frosted Ice, Grass Path, Magma, Nether Wart Block, End Bricks.
- New Items – Beetroot, Beetroot Soup, Beetroot Seeds
- New Enchantments – Mending and FrostWalker
- New Terrain Generation – Igloos and Fossils
- New Mob – Polar Bear
- New Sounds – For Polar Bear, Armor Stand, Horse, Cow, Leash Knots and Paintings, Snowman, Squid, and Witch
- New Banners – Chinese Mythology Mash-Up Pack
The Minecraft update will be heading out for Xbox One, Wii U, Xbox 360, PS Vita, PS3, and PS4. Depending on your location, it would only be a matter of time until the update will come to you. However, some modifications will come between consoles. Thus, it will differ on the type of console that you already have in your home.
