If you have played Hearthstone, you will have a slight advantage over someone who is trying Clash Royale with no previous experience as far as card games are concerned. The mobile game developed by Supercell is available on both Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS, and brings the thrill of conquering enemies to a card game format.

In Clash Royale, you are only as powerful as your deck, so the more cards you have, the more chances you have to beat your opponent, especially if said cards are rare. Some might be wondering how cards are obtained in the game, and we are here to provide you with the answer. There are several ways in which players can obtain cards, and we’ll be going over them individually.

First of all, you have two chests waiting for you in the bottom left corner of your screen. These two chests are always there, but once you redeem your cards, the chests will enter a cooldown period and you will have to wait a set period of time before you can get more cards from them.

If you want even more cards, you can always compete in battles which award you a currency called Crowns. This currency can be used to open more chests from the top right corner of your display.

There are also 4 chest slots at the bottom of your display which will fill up once you have competed and won in Clash Royale. You can let your bottom chests pile up and open 4 at once later, as they won’t be going anywhere.

For those interested in more direct ways of earning chests, you can buy them for either real money or in-game currency. By visiting the Clash Royale store, players can opt to unlock more chests using a currency of their choice, be it in-game or real money, making the game more accessible for the busy bunch that can’t afford to spend a lot of time and gather chests traditionally.
