An official announcement from Quallcomm came in, revealing that the manufacturer is prepping its latest product, the Snapdragon 835 processing unit. This would be the most powerful processor coming from Qualcomm, and it is said that the chip’s creation was based on Samsung’s 10 nanometer processing. The Qualcomm chip would greatly improve charging times but also active performance parameters.

Obviously, such a source of power cannot be randomly thrown in any device. The new Snapdragon chip will make its debut on two upcoming smartphones coming from industry leaders, namely Samsung and Xiaomi. Bot manufacturers are looking to release new flagship devices in 2017, and it is said that both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Xiaomi Mi 6 will sport the new Snapdragon 835 processing unit.

To be a little more specific, both handsets will drop in the month of March, early next year. It was revealed through a Chinese electronics research company that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be joining the Galaxy S8 among the Snapdragon 835 bearers. This seems like a business strategy meant to open the new processor to multiple markets as both devices have their popularity spikes in different parts of the world, but it may also be a way to cover more customer profiles.

Both Samsung and Xiaomi are looking to maintain the high standards that they have gotten their respective customer bases used to, and the Snapdragon 835 is a step in the right direction as it packs the processing power to handle any new technology that the manufacturers might think of along the way.

With March 2017 still being out of reach, enthusiastic fans and curious newcomers to the smartphone market alike will have to wait a little longer before they can personally test out the latest flagship devices.
