When Pokémon Go was released, many thought that this new game will win the battle against Clash of Clans. Well, it seems that in the longer run, Clash of Clans proves once again that it can stand against any new game that is released for mobile devices.
Supercell, the developer of Clash of Clans, plans to release a new patch next month that will make sure that Pokémon Go will lose more and more gamers. It is good to know that since the Halloween update, the Clash of Clans fans have been on the watch for hints regarding the upcoming update that is expected to bring naval warfare in the game. It seems that Supercell is now trying to expand the game dynamics and characters by adding expanding clash environment and sea units.
In concordance with CoCTimes, Clash of Clans is still played by more than 100 million gamers daily, which is quite impressive, as the game was released about 4 years ago. On the other hand, Pokémon Go has not even reached the 1 year mark and it is currently played by about 21 million gamers daily. Unfortunately for Niantic, Pokémon Go is constantly losing players and it is just a matter of time until this game will die.
If Clash of Clans will truly receive a major update in December 2016 then we are pretty sure that it will bring back a good amount of gamers. If the rumors prove to be true, Supercell will make an official announcement regarding this update sometime soon.
Niantic will need to bring a major update to its Pokémon Go in order to lure back the gamers that have left the game once the hype has ended. Unfortunately, there are no rumors which suggest that this will happen sometime soon.
