Pokemon is quite the well-known game franchise all over the world. While we know that the latest entries into this series will be dropped on November 18, there’s still questions about Pokemon Z.

Pokemon X and Y were released in 2013 – that was three years ago. Since then, we’ve heard a number of rumors about the possibility of a Pokemon Z. One source even said that it might be rolled out after the release of Sun and Moon.

However, what’s clear is that there’s no official word about a final Pokemon Z release date – a number of speculations exist though. X and Y represented the sixth generation of Pokemon and the upcoming Sun and Moon is the seventh. Following convention, Z should have been squished between X and Y and Sun and Moon. However, that didn’t happen.

Another rumor about Pokemon Z was that it was canceled by the company in order to focus on the next-generation of Pokemon. It’s tradition for a second game to be released after a generation release. Instead, we got news about the development of Pokemon Sun and Moon, and in a few days we will finally get copies of them.

There’s a lot to like about Sun and Moon. Apart from featuring a new generation of Pokemon, the games also have several other changes, especially with the user interface and game play. The world expects the games on November 18 while Europe has to wait until November 23.

This year is the 20th anniversary of Pokemon and fans are in for a treat with the arrival of Sun and Moon in a few days time. While we can all wonder what ever happened to Pokemon Z, we can find solace in the fact that there new games coming this year and that Pokemon GO is continuously updated.
