Google has indeed made a lot of improvements to its Android 7.0 Nougat. However, its availability has not made it to many devices yet. It was already available in August 2016 for a few Nexus devices only, but others will get the update when they will be ready.

Samsung Galaxy J7 and J5 users may have to wait a bit longer, but it should be available before the year will end. Nevertheless, this has caused some concerns for owners of mid-range phones like the J7 and J5.

In some of the forums, Samsung J7 and J5 users have understandably voiced out their concerns regarding the release of the new Android iteration. According to some of them, they may not expect their devices to get the update as soon as possible, but they are hoping to get it in the second quarter of 2017.

Others claim that Android 7.0 Nougat will not make it to smartphones having Snapdragon 801 processors and below. Thus, many users have expressed concerns for the matter and pushed for a petition to demand that Qualcomm must release the latest Android drivers for these processors.

Handsets with such processors might still be so capable when it comes to performance. So, a lot of users are not satisfied with this report that prompted them to raise such a petition. Samsung J7 and J5 phones that are released in 2016 might have a chance to get the latest Android update a year after. Thus, it should be great news for users of such devices.

However, Samsung Galaxy J7 and J5 devices released last year might not have a very good chance of getting the Nougat. Which is why users who own them are pretty much concerned about. Perhaps sharing this petition can get the issue somewhere within the possibility of making the Android 7.0 Nougat available for them as well.
