It seems that Viber has decided to release a new update for its application. The new update allows users to connect with ease with businesses where they shop.
Thanks to this new feature that has been named “Public Accounts”, businesses will now be able to provide easy access for their customers to whatever type of customer support they need. For example, if you want to know if a product is in stock and if it can be sent to you in the same day, you will be able to contact the customer service via Viber.
We think that Viber makes a good move by helping users to connect easier with brands. The Public Accounts feature will now appear on the right side of the main screen of the Viber application and it can be viewed by tapping the “Public” icon. At the same time, whenever a user will start talking with a company, the conversation will end up in the chat list of your other conversations with your Viber friends. This makes sure that you will be able to contact that company again from one centralized location, instead of looking for it over and over again.
If you are using an Android device and you can’t find the “Public” icon, then you should look somewhere in the top-right corner of the application, between the Viber Games and Search icons. Once you tap on the “Public” icon, you will see Public Accounts for businesses and brands.
According to Viber, each Public Account has a Public Chat, which means that it will be quite easy to get in touch with any brand that has a Public Account. Once you find a company that has a Public Account, you can select to its Public Account profile webpage and from here, you will be able to access the chat.
It is good to know that the Public Chats feature is not used only for communicating with the companies you follow, but it also contains some special promotions and other exclusive deals.
