The Android 7.0 Nougat update has been released for some devices, especially for Google’s Nexuses. Well, it seems that OnePlus 3 is finally getting the update this month.

Brian Yoon, the design director at OnePlus, has confirmed that the Android Nougat BETA “community” build will be released for the OnePlus 3 device this month. To make things even better, once all issues will be solved, the Android Nougat update will also be released over-the-air for all OnePlus 3 handsets and this will happen before the end of the year. Yoon has also added that the OnePlus 2 will be updated to Android Nougat as well, but it is not yet known when this will happen.

It seems that OnePlus is now trying to bring the Android Nougat update to its mobile devices after a quite “dramatic” internal restructuring. We remind you that earlier this year, the OnePlus leadership merged the teams that were working on OxygenOS and HydrogenOS. It turns out that this move was a smart one, as OnePlus had a bad reputation when it comes to speedy software updates. At the same time, most of the OnePlus owners were quite vocal lately and the company was forced to make this move.

By combining the two software teams, the company hoped that it will rush things out when it comes to updates. It seems everything is going as expected, as the Android Nougat Update plans are already confirming it.

LG was the first non-Google company that has released a Nougat-powered device (V20) and soon enough, it updated its G5 handset to the mentioned operating system. Soon after that, Samsung has pushed out the update to its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge handsets via the Galaxy Beta program.

Do you think that the OnePlus 3 will receive the Android Nougat update before the end of month?
