Fans of the popular game Minecraft can now enjoy a brand new chapter in the game’s franchise. Minecraft: Story Mode has been developed by Telltale Games, the same name behind other successful video game adaptations such as The Walking Dead, or more recently Batman.
Minecraft:Story Mode Episode 1 is the first in line to be released as free, with North America already getting receiving the introductive chapter. While Episode 1 has been release free in the U.S., Europe is still waiting for the first episode to be free for them too, which sources say will happen soon.
The “Pass” offers have also been altered by the change made to Episode 1, modifying their overall price tag. You can now get the Season Pass for $19.99, which will include the first five episodes, as well as the first eight episodes for a total price of $29.99, which is marketed as the Season Pass Deluxe. For only $9.99 you can get the Adventure Pass which includes episodes 6 through 8.
The complete Story Mode adventure is also available starting from October 25th as a physical copy purchase that contains all 8 episodes for the console version with a PC disc in the works. For Europe, the physical, complete collection is available from October 28th.
Minecraft:Story Mode will be available for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, iOS and Android, continuing Minecraft’s rise in popularity.
In Minecraft:Story Mode, players take the role of Jesse, which can be either a male or female character, and set out to save the world by finding the Order of the Stone. After the full adventure, players can also go a step beyond and play the Adventure Pass extra episodes, which continue where the initial adventure left off for three more episodes.
