It is undeniable that the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update has already been made official. Thus, the first batch of devices that will receive the said update will be within the collection of mobile devices and smartphones from Google. All other phones around the world will have to wait for this update, with only one exception in the LG V20 as it came out of the box with Android 7.0 already.

Among the devices that are confirmed to get the Android 7.0 Nougat update include the Moto Z, Moto Z Force, Moto Z Play, Droid Maxx 2, Droid Turbo 2, and the Moto X Pure Edition. Other Moto devices are not expected to get the latest update. However, Motorola said that the Moto Z and the G4 are among the first devices that will be able to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat.

The expected release date of the Nougat update will come before the current year will end. Hence, it might arrive early in November or late in December 2016. This is because Motorola is still working to make sure that the new Android 7.0 Nougat will work perfectly with the smartphone UI of the company.

Owners of Motorola smartphones are now advised to update their firmware to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow. This will be able to facilitate the transition towards Android 7.0 Nougat, in addition to visual and regular performance improvements.

Take note that Android 7.0 Nougat has made several major improvements in comparison to a couple versions back. Although it may not have similar dramatic visual improvements made during that time, the most recent release has made some major refinements over its predecessor, the Marshmallow. When it comes to functionality, Android Nougat can offer multitasking and split-screen features. Aside from that, it also has quicker ways to switch from one app to the other.
