According to some reports, a new OnePlus 3 will be released sometime soon and it will be named OnePlus 3T. According to Weibo, this device is expected to hit the market next week, on November 14, 2016.
The OnePlus 3T is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC chipset along with an upgraded camera module. It seems that the primary camera will still be a 16MP, but thanks to the new sensor, it will provide better image quality. Sony IMX398 model is expected to be the new sensor. On the other hand, the secondary camera will not be changed at all and it will have the same resolution of 8MP.
It seems that the body style, design, build and other key specifications will remain the same as the current OnePlus 3. In other words, the OnePlus 3T will feature a 5.5-inch AMOLED display that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 401 ppi, 6GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage and a non-removable 3000 mAh battery.
According to some reports, the handset will cost about $80 more than the current OnePlus 3 which means that it will have a total cost of around $480. It’s not yet sure where exactly this device will be distributed, but there are high chances that it will be available only in China. We’re not sure if the company did well by bringing an “upgraded” version of the OnePlus 3, but we will see if that works for it or not.
More information about this device will be revealed on November 14, 2016, when OnePlus is expected to present it during an event.
