The Last of Us was developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for PS 3 in June 2013 and a year later, the update version came to PS 4. The game was loved by zombie fans, who were able to play as Joel, a man who had to take care of a teenage girl named Ellie, to defend her against creatures infected by a mutated strain of the Cordyceps fungus.
The Last of Us is only three years old, but players can’t wait for a sequel, and speculations surrounding it started spreading on the internet.
Naughty Dog hasn’t given any information about the development of “The Last of Us 2”, but fans are interpreting any clues they find on the internet and they constantly created theories that were taken over by all kinds of video game sites.
Recent reports have made reference to what voice actor Nolan North has said in the past, when he confirmed that Naughty Dog will bring the title. North has been collaborating with Naughty Dog for the Uncharted series, as well, where he was the voice of Nathan Drake, so his statements should be taken seriously, especially because director and writer Neil Druckmann has also hinted that Naughty Dog has started working on the prototype of the sequel.
There are many reports suggesting a possible release of The Last of Us in 2018, if the game will be announced next year, although Druckmann said that the second installment won’t arrive earlier than 2020. It seems that the game will have a different story and new characters who will live in a parallel world to that of Ellie and Joel.
In the meantime, The Last Of Us Remastered on PS4 has just received a new patch that added native 4K to HDR color support and improved stereo quality. The file has a total size of 355.6MB.
