There are two types of Samsung Galaxy J2 models – one model released in September 2015; the other model released July 2016. While they are the same model in name, they do have a distinction between them. Does that mean the September model isn’t as good as the July model? Not at all, but there are some things you should take into consideration:
Similar to what other Galaxy models have had the J2 has the super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. The 2015 model is only 4.7 inches while the 2016 model is five inches, with a 540p x 234ppi pixel density.
The J2 models are currently using the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, with a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 – great if you want a powerful processor.
There are not many folks who don’t like the idea of needing to use an external SD memory card. However, for those folks who like the idea, the phones have a dedicated microSD slot that’s able to use up to 256GB of memory; the internal memory is 8GB. It also has 1GB of RAM.
For the 2015 model, the main camera is 5MP with LED flash-enabled with the second camera installed being only 2MP. For the 2016 m model, the key camera is 8MP where the secondary camera is 5MP.
If you want a smartphone for cheap, the Samsung Galaxy J2 may be right up your alley.
