When Pokemon Go first came out on mobile devices in early July 2016 it was a complete success, managing to gather millions of users in the first week of its launch. The mobile game had the whole world out on the streets hunting for Pokemon. Even though the game had such immense success at first, their user base has dropped by a large margin, and because of that reason Niantic Labs released a new Halloween themed update in hopes of bringing back all the inactive players.
This update is the first ever in-game event to be included in Pokemon Go and it will last until the 1st November. Some rare Pokemon sightings have been reported by players, Pokemon like Kadabra and Alakazam, but Niantic Lab did not include these Pokemon in their official announcement, so they must be very rare.
In light of the recently released Halloween update, Pokemon Go sits on the first place in iTunes grossing top, just on top of the hit mobile game Clash Royale. On the other hand, Clash Royale sits on the top place in Google Play store, and on the second place is Pokemon Go.
The new Halloween update doubled the amount of candy rewards, it has also reduced the spawn time a Pokemon required as well, and it also introduced new Pokemon for players to catch, the new scary Pokemon added are Cubone, Drowzee, Golbat, Gastly and many more. And because of these new features, Pokemon Go has once again rose up to the top of the mobile games market.
Niantic Labs, the developers of the game, will bring in some big profits now that their player base has increased again, Forbes are estimating that Niantic Labs are going to make around the huge amount of $600 USD million in the next 90 days. The company has not released any official statement regarding the profit they are making.
