Samsung will end the year with new offers for its fans. Since the Galaxy A7 2016 will complete a year cycle in the market in December, the company will release its successor in the same period, but in parallel will be also brought the new versions of the A3, A4 and A5. Samsung hasn’t confirmed the specs of any of the models, but luckily, they were spotted on benchmarking websites. Today we’ll tell you about the new A7 2017, whose specs were revealed by AnTuTu.

According to AnTuTu listing, the Galaxy A7 2017 will carry the codename SM-A720F and it will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. It will be powered by an octa-core 1.8GHz Exynos 7870 chipset that will support a Mali-T830 and GFXBench has confirmed that it will feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display. Unfortunately, we don’t have any information about the battery capacity, but most likely, it will be as big as the 3,300mAh battery of its predecessor.

AnTuTu has also revealed that the processor will be backed by 3GB of RAM and the internal memory will be expandable from 32GB (a small upgrade from 16GB) to 128GB with a microSD card. We’re not expecting any improvements to the cameras, so they will have the same resolutions of 13MP (back) and 5MP (front), but it would be great if Samsung will add new features besides OIS, autofocus and LED flash.

The third generation A7 has been designed using glass on the rear panel and metal on the sides and we believe that the new model will have a similar design, maybe even the same colors: Black, White, Gold and Pink. Most likely, the A7 2017 will come with the same dimensions as the 2016 model (151.5 x 74.1 x 7.3 mm), but it’s not sure if it will have the same weight of 172 grams.

GSMArena claims that the device will be available in two variants of internal memories and that the secondary camera will support a resolution of 16MP.
