There are lots of speculations about the release date of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 these days. It might be because of the fans that have been showing interest about the next installment of Black Ops despite the latest being released just last year.
According to leaked reports, Black Ops 4 will be focused more on revenge or justice. This has been made after Treyarch has intended to make this a direct sequel to its previous game. Although the game didn’t have much details to look forward to, there will be a possibility that the developer will change such details about the game.
There were previous reports that could look into possibilities of developing another title, but they came silent regarding the topic. The upcoming game Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is set to be released in November, so there is much time to develop another sequel. By then, it would be appropriate to claim that the franchise is indeed working on the much anticipate Black Ops 4.
Normally, games in this series are released on a 2-year cycle. Simply put that the last major release was on 2015. Therefore, the next expected release date will be not later than 2017. If Treyarch will follow this trend, it will be expected to be released in 2018. Well, at least this is a very much realistic target date to consider.
Therefore, for those who are expecting news about the next installment to come any time soon will have to wait a year or so before any update will be revealed. Activision is still usually mum on the release of their software particularly the much publicized Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 until they have released a trailer. In other words, fans should have to wait until 2017 at least during the E3 Conference.
