The OnePlus Chinese company CEO Pete Lau has posted a video online showcasing a OnePlus 3 that runs the new Android Nougat hyping fans up and giving them hope that the update will come soon enough for the OnePlus 3, OnPlus 2 and OnePlus X.
The CEO did not make any official statements regarding the release date of Android 7.0 Nougat, but fans can only hope that it will come before the end of 2017. Some insider reports show that the update will more than likely to come around December 2016.
The device that will get the update first are going to be the OnePlus 3 smart phones, the reason behind it is that they are the flagship phones of the company. The other OnePlus 2 can expect to receive the OS upgrade in a time period of two months after OnePlus.
If OnePlus X owners want to give the new Nougat OS a try, they can do it right now using the CyanogenMod.
Owners of the OnePlus 3 can only hope that the delay for the Android 7.0 Nougat OS will not happen and they will still receive their updates before the end of the year. OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X will more than likely get their update around 2017, maybe owners of the devices will be lucky and Android 7.0 Nougat will come the first months of 2017.
The Chinese OnePlus smartphones have been regarded as the “flagship killers”, because they combine cutting edge technology, innovation and also more importantly a good price. For this reason the OnePlus series are seen as the main threath towards big companies such as Apple, Samsung, Sony and so on. The OnePlus 3 especially has earned a huge fan base for itself because of the technical specs it presents and the affordable price.
