Most Android-dependent smartphone and tablet manufacturers are scrambling to roll out Nougat 7.0 to their units the quickest they can, as more Droiders continue to ask when their device is getting the new OS. Some of the major companies have already said they will release the upgrade within the next few months. Check the list below to see if your mobile device is included.

The company announced way back in June that the One A9, One M9, and the HTC 10 models are scheduled to get the Nougat update, so these will most likely receive the 7.0 OS before this year ends. Their new HTC Bolt is expected to come out of the box with Nougat pre-installed.

The rumors in the technosphere are implying that the upcoming Huawei Mate 9 is getting the new software out of the box when it will be released this November. As for honor 5X and honor 7, since they got the Marshmallow update in December 2015, they will most likely get Nougat by January 2017. There has been no further news for Huawei P9 as of now.

The LG V20 was the first phone to come with Nougat 7.0 out of the box. The LG G5, which has been running on Nougat beta tests since August, could receive it in November. The V10, however, might have to wait until February 2017 if LG gives it the same prioritization as it did for the Marshmallow update.

With a reputation for being quite slow in rolling out Android OS updates, owners of Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, Note 5, S6, S6 Edge, and S6 Edge+ will have to wait before or by the end of this year. Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge will hopefully get it early next year.

If based on Sony’s roadmap, the schedule is Xperia XZ and Xperia X Performance are receiving Nougat this October, the Xperia X and X Compact in November, the Z3+, Z4 Tablet, and Z5 series in December, while the Xperia XA and Ultra in January 2017.

OnePlus3 is expected to receive the first upgrade in the first quarter of 2017, while OnePlus2 units are getting it at least a month after.

With improved features for functionality and multi-tasking, the 7.0 Nougat update is eagerly anticipated by Droiders all over the world. Keep yourself in the loop so you can be alerted when your device is getting the latest Android OS.
