The latest Android update by Google, the Android 7.0 to be exact has just came out for the majority of flagship phones, and the ones that did not received it will get it pretty soon. The Samsung phones that won’t probably get the update are the ones that came out before 2015.

Marshmallow OS, the 6.0 OS system released by Google has just been surpassed by the new 7.0 Android Nougat OS, the seventh major OS release for Android phones. The update has been received by most of Samsung’s phones, but there are a number of them that did not get the new Android OS.

The technology news site “Nashville Chatter”, released the news that Samsung are testing the stability of the new 7.0 Nougat OS on their 2016 flagship phones, phones like the new Samsung Galaxy S7 and also S7 Edge. The release date for the new OS has not yet been officially announced since the new OS is not considered stable yet.

Samsung has released a list of the phones that will get the new Android 7.0 Nougat. The list has some bad news for the owners of Samsung flagship phones bought in 2014, some example of these phones are: Note Edge, Galaxy S5 and also Note 4. However, the list also showed that phones like the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge will surely get the update.

On the list there also Samsung Galaxy A7 and Galaxy A8, and they will get the 7.0 Nougat OS update. But phones such as the Galaxy C5 and C7 are not mentioned on the list. Rumors are saying that coming next year, the Galaxy C5 and C7 will also get the OS update, and the newly released Samsung Galaxy C9 pro will also get the 7.0 Nougat OS.

A couple of phones from the LG brand have received the new 7.0 Android, and also some of Google’s Nexus phones have the new 7.0 Nougat Android OS. But, owners of Samsung phones can expect their updates to come in 2015 and 2016.

Samsung has not confirmed anything officially, but that means that Samsung smartphone owners can get an idea from the leaked list of what phone to get next if they want to use the Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
