WhatsApp has recently made a lot of changes to their instant messaging app, tweaking some features and letting users write and draw on the pictures, just like you are able to do in Snapchat, Instagram or iMEssage.
The latest update has brought people many tools for customizing videos and images, together with some updates for the camera, which enable you to take better quality picture from within the app. You can see the new tools both in the Android and iOS versions of the app, they will appear automatically when you update it. You will see that the editing pictures part includes the capacity to pixelate some parts of the image, to add captions, drawings and other annotations, and even to transform some parts in black and white, while leaving the rest in color.
Just take a shot or open a capture from your gallery and then just tap on the pen tool you will see on the top right area. If you see a grey part in the lower area of the color palette, you can select a tool that will let you change parts of the image into black and white, while the hatched one allows you to select the pixelated pen.
You can also add some captions and choose various fonts and emojis if you just tap the smiley face found at the top of the screen. Adjust the size of the emoji by pinching it on the screen, thus zooming in or out.
WhatsApp now allows front-facing flash for photos and videos if you use the software within the app. It also brings some improvements for night time and low light photos. Moreover, you can now zoom in and out when recording a video if you slide your finger up and down. All in all, people seem to be happy with the upgrades the team brought them.
