The Order of the Stone is the first episode in Telltales Games’ Minecraft: Story Mode and it can be downloaded for free on PC, iOS, Android, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Fans in Europe will need to wait a little longer until the PlayStation versions will become free.

Minecraft: Story Mode is based on the famous sandbox video game Minecraft, being developed by Telltale in collaboration with Mojang and it has eight episodes. Five of them have been released between October 2015 and March 2016, while the other three came as downloadable content in mid-2016.

In Minecraft: Story Mode, Jesse is the main character (male or female, depending on player’s preferences) and he/she starts a journey with his/her friends to find The Order of the Stone. Jesse will visit many locations that can be found in real version of Minecraft, such as the Nether, The End and the Far Lands and will collect items, solve puzzles and will try to figure out what to do next. His or her decisions will impact events in the next episode/s. In Episode 1, Jesse will attend EnderCon, hoping to meet Gabriel the Warrior, but something will go wrong and terror will be unleashed. In order to save the world from destruction, Jesse will need to defeat the Wither Storm and to find The Order of the Stone as soon as possible.

The rest of episodes are called Assembly Required, The Last Place You Look, A Block and a Hard Place, Order Up!, A Portal to Mystery, Access Denied and A Journey’s End?. Telltale has also discounted the Season Pass, Adventure Pass, Season Pass Deluxe and Complete Adventure packages and starting on October 25, in North America will be offered a $30 Complete Edition retail disc for consoles that will contain the five Episode 1 chapters, as well as three characters from Adventure Pass series. The disc will arrive in Europe on October 28, but it’s not sure when PC users will get their hands on it.
